Originally from Mexico, this tiny pup—with bat-shaped ears and bug eyes—packs a feisty personality and is never a bore. Early socialization and training will go far in reducing barking and in managing its independence streak. Fear and anxiety can make them appear aggressive. However, eager to learn, positive reinforcement can work magic! If overly aggressive or barky, just remember that socialization and consistency in training go a long way, especially when started early.
Loyal and confident, they’ll protect your family and form strong bonds, while also being the perfect size for lap-sitting and cuddling. Their small stature makes them great for apartments, smaller living spaces, and as travel companions.
