Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Spring Valley
Spring Valley is one of the most diverse and lively parts of the Las Vegas Valley, with established neighborhoods, busy shopping corridors, and a wide range of family homes. It’s a community where people have all kinds of lifestyles, which means there’s a rescue dog to match nearly any household here. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Spring Valley to our Las Vegas adoption events, an easy errand to fit between weekend plans.
Getting to an adoption event
From most of Spring Valley, the drive south to Blue Diamond Road takes about 15 minutes. Main roads like Blue Diamond make the route simple, though traffic near busy intersections can slow things at peak hours. The event is at Petco on Blue Diamond Road. Reserve your spot after choosing a dog on our available dogs page.
Dog-friendly Spring Valley
Spring Valley has a good mix of neighborhood parks and walking routes, with plenty of sidewalks for daily strolls. Parks across the area are a handy place to practice leash manners with a new dog. In summer, the pavement gets hot, so walk early and carry water. Park rules vary, so check the posted signs at each location.

Adoption Event Manager
I’m a proud dog mom of two pups. I was asked to join Amazing Dogs Rescue just days after my beloved Kaylee, a beautiful, regal Carolina Ridgeback mix of almost 15 years, passed away. She was my best girl and was central in my life. I felt a strong desire to help other dogs and families experience a similar connection. Joining Amazing Dogs Rescue has been heart-healing and rewarding by uniting humans and dogs looking for joy and togetherness. At my second adoption event, I encouraged a mourning woman to adopt a new pup into her life. That same day, I also welcomed a new dog-ter into my life. It so happened that the woman and my new pup had the same name! I love signs from God, and I take my direction from Him.
Petco Certified Trainer
My childhood goal was to be a veterinarian but as I got older, I fell in love with the training field. I want to help teach humans how to teach their dogs & how to bond by creating a clear system of learning that is founded on a strong history of trust, positive reinforcement & more! There is so much more to our training methods than just giving a treat for a job well done, and if you can learn the nuances of the methods, you can not only create a deep bond with your dog, but create a system of communication that you can use to teach your dog so much.
