Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Rhodes Ranch
Rhodes Ranch is a well-established community on the southwest side of the valley, with a golf course at its center and a friendly, neighborly atmosphere. Residents here tend to know each other, and a new dog quickly becomes part of the neighborhood. Our Las Vegas adoption events are about a 15-minute drive from Rhodes Ranch, so finding your next family member is a simple trip.
Getting to an adoption event
Think of the trip as a short cruise across the southwest valley. From Rhodes Ranch, most drivers reach our Petco event location in about 15 minutes via Blue Diamond Road, with a bit of extra time if traffic is heavy. Pick the dog you’d like to meet from our available dogs page, reserve your spot, and we’ll see you at the next Las Vegas event.
Dog-friendly Rhodes Ranch
Rhodes Ranch has quiet streets and green space around the golf course area that make for pleasant walks. Neighbors tend to walk early or late in the day to avoid the heat, and the community feel makes it easy to meet other dog owners. Dogs generally need to be leashed in shared community areas, and golf course areas have their own rules, so check posted signs before heading out.

Adoption Event Manager
I’m a proud dog mom of two pups. I was asked to join Amazing Dogs Rescue just days after my beloved Kaylee, a beautiful, regal Carolina Ridgeback mix of almost 15 years, passed away. She was my best girl and was central in my life. I felt a strong desire to help other dogs and families experience a similar connection. Joining Amazing Dogs Rescue has been heart-healing and rewarding by uniting humans and dogs looking for joy and togetherness. At my second adoption event, I encouraged a mourning woman to adopt a new pup into her life. That same day, I also welcomed a new dog-ter into my life. It so happened that the woman and my new pup had the same name! I love signs from God, and I take my direction from Him.
Petco Certified Trainer
My childhood goal was to be a veterinarian but as I got older, I fell in love with the training field. I want to help teach humans how to teach their dogs & how to bond by creating a clear system of learning that is founded on a strong history of trust, positive reinforcement & more! There is so much more to our training methods than just giving a treat for a job well done, and if you can learn the nuances of the methods, you can not only create a deep bond with your dog, but create a system of communication that you can use to teach your dog so much.
