Dog-friendly Palo Alto
Palo Alto features exceptional resources for dog owners. Greer Park Dog Park and Boulware Park Dog Park offer modern fenced off-leash play areas with double-gated entries and turf surfacing, while Hoover Park provides additional off-leash space. For longer excursions, leashed dogs can explore the extensive trails of Foothills Nature Preserve.
Patio dining is widely accessible along University Avenue and California Avenue, both packed with dog-friendly outdoor cafes and restaurants. One thing worth knowing: Palo Alto city dog parks maintain a three-dog-per-person limit and require licenses for all local pets.

Adoption Event Manager
With a lifelong passion for animals and rescue work, I’ve dedicated decades to community service and helping those in need. My family includes rescues of all kinds—from two aquatic turtles and my German Rottweiler who rescued me to a pack of community cats we adore.
When I discovered Amazing Dogs Rescue in 2024, I knew I had to get involved. Now, as the Event Manager for Pittsburg, I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible team and to help create impactful events for our furry friends. I’m excited to contribute to the mission of giving dogs the second chance they deserve!
