Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Palm Desert, CA
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Palm Springs
Palm Springs is world-famous for its mid-century modern design and vibrant desert culture, located about a 20-minute drive from our adoption events in Palm Desert. That makes it easy for Palm Springs residents to find their new best friend at one of our events.
Getting to an adoption event

Dog-friendly Palm Springs
Palm Springs is exceptionally dog-friendly. The Behind the Gate Dog Park (Palm Springs Dog Park) on Ramon Road offers two separate fenced areas with synthetic turf, shade structures, and water features. Walking your leashed pup through historic neighborhoods like Twin Palms or along Palm Canyon Drive is a favorite local pastime.
Patio dining is everywhere in Palm Springs. Spots along Palm Canyon Drive and Indian Canyon Drive—including Pinocchio in the Desert, Wilma & Frieda, and Sherman’s Deli—enthusiastically welcome dogs on their patios. One thing worth knowing: the city requires all dogs to be licensed and kept on leash when outside designated off-leash parks.
