Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Las Vegas, NV
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas is one of the fastest-growing cities in Nevada, with new neighborhoods, big family homes, and a close-knit community feel. Many households here have the room and the energy for a dog, and rescue adoption is a great way to add a friend who’ll be grateful every day. It’s about a 35-minute drive from North Las Vegas to our adoption events, so we recommend planning an easy morning around your visit.
Getting to an adoption event
North Las Vegas is the farthest community on our list, so a little planning goes a long way. Expect about 35 minutes of driving, possibly longer at rush hour, since you’ll cross much of the valley. Many drivers use the freeway and the 215 Beltway before turning onto Blue Diamond Road. A midday weekend trip is usually the smoothest. Once you’ve chosen a dog on our available dogs page, reserve your spot so your trip is worth every mile.
Dog-friendly North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas has newer parks, nature areas, and walking paths across its neighborhoods, many with space for dogs to stretch their legs. Larger regional parks make good weekend outings once your new dog is settled in. With desert temperatures, early-morning or evening walks are best, and water is a must. Park rules vary, so look for posted leash requirements.

Adoption Event Manager
I’m a proud dog mom of two pups. I was asked to join Amazing Dogs Rescue just days after my beloved Kaylee, a beautiful, regal Carolina Ridgeback mix of almost 15 years, passed away. She was my best girl and was central in my life. I felt a strong desire to help other dogs and families experience a similar connection. Joining Amazing Dogs Rescue has been heart-healing and rewarding by uniting humans and dogs looking for joy and togetherness. At my second adoption event, I encouraged a mourning woman to adopt a new pup into her life. That same day, I also welcomed a new dog-ter into my life. It so happened that the woman and my new pup had the same name! I love signs from God, and I take my direction from Him.
Petco Certified Trainer
My childhood goal was to be a veterinarian but as I got older, I fell in love with the training field. I want to help teach humans how to teach their dogs & how to bond by creating a clear system of learning that is founded on a strong history of trust, positive reinforcement & more! There is so much more to our training methods than just giving a treat for a job well done, and if you can learn the nuances of the methods, you can not only create a deep bond with your dog, but create a system of communication that you can use to teach your dog so much.
