Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Mission Viejo, CA
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Laguna Niguel
Laguna Niguel sits on rolling hills with ocean views, wide sidewalks, and some of the best parks in South Orange County. Dogs fit right in here, whether it’s a morning loop around the neighborhood or an afternoon at the park. If you’re ready to add a four-legged family member, we’d love to introduce you to one.
Getting to an adoption event
You’ll be at our Mission Viejo event in about 15 minutes. Head north on Crown Valley Parkway or Alicia Parkway, then follow Santa Margarita Parkway to the event. Before you go, check our available dogs page and reserve a time slot with the dog you’d like to meet.
Dog-friendly Laguna Niguel
Laguna Niguel Regional Park has a lake, walking paths, and an off-leash dog area, which makes it a favorite for local dog owners. Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park is close by too, with leashed trail access for longer hikes. Dogs aren’t allowed at Salt Creek Beach, so save beach days for dog-friendly spots, and always follow the posted rules.

Adoption Event Manager
I have been in love with dogs my entire life. I became a part of the Amazing Dogs family early 2024 and have committed myself to the cause. One of my greatest accomplishments has been working at these adoption events to find these dogs their forever homes with their forever families and then seeing them a few months later happy and adjusted. This is what Amazing Dogs Rescue is all about. I am a mom to 5 fur babies and have fostered and adopted from this rescue before I took on the role of Event Manager.
Petco Store Manager
I have proudly served the Petco Mission Viejo team for 2 years and 9 months. Throughout my time with Petco, I’ve been passionate about building lasting relationships with pet parents, supporting my team, and making a positive impact on the lives of pets every day. As a proud dog owner to two dogs, my love for animals extends beyond the workplace, making Petco the perfect place to combine my passion with my career. I enjoy helping every pet and pet parent find the right solutions while creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the doors.
