Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Mission Viejo, CA
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Laguna Beach
With its art galleries, hillside trails, and ocean views around every bend, Laguna Beach is a place where life moves a little slower and dogs are treated like locals. Residents here love getting outdoors, and the right dog makes every walk better. Our Mission Viejo events are within easy reach.
Getting to an adoption event
Laguna Beach adopters can expect about a 25-minute drive. Take Laguna Canyon Road (CA-133) inland to the 405 or El Toro Road, then continue to Santa Margarita Parkway in Mission Viejo. It’s smart to browse our available dogs page in advance and reserve a spot, so you can spend your visit getting to know your match.
Dog-friendly Laguna Beach
The Laguna Beach Dog Park along Laguna Canyon Road gives pups a place to run, and the trails in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park are popular for leashed hikes. Many downtown cafés have dog-friendly patios. Most beaches in town restrict dogs, so check posted rules and any time-of-day limits before heading to the sand.

Adoption Event Manager
I have been in love with dogs my entire life. I became a part of the Amazing Dogs family early 2024 and have committed myself to the cause. One of my greatest accomplishments has been working at these adoption events to find these dogs their forever homes with their forever families and then seeing them a few months later happy and adjusted. This is what Amazing Dogs Rescue is all about. I am a mom to 5 fur babies and have fostered and adopted from this rescue before I took on the role of Event Manager.
Petco Store Manager
I have proudly served the Petco Mission Viejo team for 2 years and 9 months. Throughout my time with Petco, I’ve been passionate about building lasting relationships with pet parents, supporting my team, and making a positive impact on the lives of pets every day. As a proud dog owner to two dogs, my love for animals extends beyond the workplace, making Petco the perfect place to combine my passion with my career. I enjoy helping every pet and pet parent find the right solutions while creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the doors.
