Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Palm Desert, CA
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Indio
Known as the “City of Festivals,” Indio is a booming east-valley hub located roughly a 10- to 15-minute drive from our adoption events in Palm Desert. That makes it easy for Indio residents to find their new best friend at one of our events.
Getting to an adoption event
Our Palm Desert adoption events are the closest option for Indio adopters. Once you find a dog you’re interested in on our available dogs page, you can reserve a spot to meet them at our next Palm Desert event.
Dog-friendly Indio
Indio offers expansive public parks for pet owners. The Mulligan Dog Park provides fenced off-leash enclosures with grass and shade, making it a popular neighborhood gathering place. Additionally, large community parks like Miles Avenue Park and South Jackson Park offer vast open fields for leashed exercise.
Downtown Indio and the corridor along Highway 111 offer multiple casual, dog-friendly dining options with outdoor seating. One thing worth knowing: during major spring festival seasons, traffic along Monroe Street and Washington Street can be heavier, so plan your trip to adoption events accordingly!
