Upcoming Dog Adoption Events in Sunnyvale, CA
Adopt a dog at one of our dog adoption events near Cupertino
Cupertino is famous for its tech innovation, top-rated neighborhoods, and beautiful foothills, and it’s about a 10-minute drive to our adoption events in Sunnyvale. That makes it easy for Cupertino residents to find their new best friend at one of our events.
Getting to an adoption event
Our Sunnyvale adoption events at Petco on El Camino Real are the closest option for Cupertino adopters. Once you find a dog you’re interested in on our available dogs page, you can reserve a spot to meet them at our next Sunnyvale event.
Dog-friendly Cupertino
Cupertino offers plenty of outdoor options for dogs and their humans. The Mary Avenue Dog Park provides a fenced off-leash area for local pups, and the nearby Stevens Creek Trail offers wide paved pathways ideal for leashed exercise.
Patio dining is popular at Main Street Cupertino, where open-air plazas feature dog-friendly seating outside restaurants, cafes, and boba shops. One thing worth knowing: while dogs are welcome on city trails, nearby Rancho San Antonio Preserve strictly prohibits dogs to protect local wildlife.

Adoption Event Manager
With a lifelong passion for animals and rescue work, I’ve dedicated decades to community service and helping those in need. My family includes rescues of all kinds—from two aquatic turtles and my German Rottweiler who rescued me to a pack of community cats we adore.
When I discovered Amazing Dogs Rescue in 2024, I knew I had to get involved. Now, as the Event Manager for Pittsburg, I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible team and to help create impactful events for our furry friends. I’m excited to contribute to the mission of giving dogs the second chance they deserve!
