Leo is a sweet, gentle soul of a dog, only a year old, with the soulful eyes of a Labrador and the intriguing mix of a Carolina Dog. This boy has journeyed far – both in miles from Mexico, where he was found as a stray, and in spirit, carrying the weight of unknown traumas.

While Leo may seem frozen in fear when you first meet him, know that beneath that stillness lies a heart yearning for love and safety. He’s not aggressive in the slightest, just deeply scared and in need of a patient and understanding hand. He’s hesitant to move when meeting new humans, and unfamiliar with walking on a leash, but we know with the right environment and gentle encouragement, he will blossom into a confident and loving companion.
